Primary Fonts

FM Bolyarpro Bold

The word mark “Tuscaloosa” is in the font FM BolyarPro Bold.

This font offers flexibility in creating materials to be reproduced on everything from small laser or inkjet- printed pieces to larger, professionally printed materials.

If available, it may be used as a primary font for headlines or subheads. Text may be no smaller than 8pt.

Open Sans Regular
 
The word mark “City of” is Open Sans Regular. This typeface is to be used on professionally printed materials.If available, it may be used as a primary for headlines, subheads or body copy. Text may be no smaller than 8pt.

Open Sans Condensed Light & Bold

Department word marks are in Open Sans Condensed Light. (However, the Mayor’s Office is in Open Sans Condensed Bold.) This typeface is to be used on professionally printed materials.

If available, use Open Sans Condensed Light or Bold as a secondary font for call-outs, captions, etc. Text may be no smaller than 8pt.

Alternative Fonts

Calibri

While the corporate typefaces are widely used by graphic designers, not everyone has access to these fonts.

When creating communication materials and forms, or for general correspondence, use these substitute fonts which are included in Microsoft® Word:

For Open Sans use Calibri.

The standard font usage for all City documents is Calibri 12pt. Text may be no smaller than 8pt. Use italics and bold sparingly.
