Rev. Matthew Wilson is a native of Tuscaloosa and has been actively engaged in ministry for over 25 years. After graduating from Central High School, he received his bachelor's degree in religion and philosophy from Stillman College. Rev. Wilson graduated with his Master of Divinity from Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center of Atlanta, Georgia. He received an honorary doctorate from St. Luke Episcopal School of Biblical Studies, completed his chaplaincy residency at UAB Medicine in 2016, and was placed as a PRN chaplain at UAB Hospital. Currently He serves as a board member of Kids and Kin, volunteer with Jr League Tuscaloosa, and Book Buddies with the University of Alabama. Rev. Wilson serves as immediate past-president of Tuscaloosa Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, now chair of the educational committee and pastor of the Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Marion, Alabama.
