City of Tuscaloosa Holiday Schedule & Tree Recycling

In observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, City Hall will close at 4 p.m. and 311 will close at 5 p.m. Thursday, December 21 and remain closed on Friday, December 22 and Monday, December 25.
In observance of New Year’s Day, City Hall will close at 4 p.m. and 311 will close at 5 p.m. Friday, December 29 and remain closed on Monday, January 1. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, January 2.
Collection Schedule
Garbage, trash and recycling routes will be delayed one day the week of December 25 and the week of January 1. Monday routes will be collected Tuesday, Tuesday routes on Wednesday, Wednesday routes on Thursday, and Thursday routes on Friday.
Tree Recycling and Holiday Garbage Drop-off
Between December 26 and January 6, live trees and greenery may be recycled at the Curry Environmental Services facility (3440 Reese Phifer Ave.) Greenery may be dropped off at any time, and must be completely free of decorations and lights. A separate bin will be available for recycling lights.
A holiday garbage collection trailer and an additional cardboard recycling bin will be located outside of the Environmental Services facility as well as outside of Verner Elementary school during this time.
