City of Tuscaloosa to Host Third Annual 'Tech-or-Treat' Event at Gateway Innovation and Discovery Center
October 2, 2018
The City of Tuscaloosa will host the third annual ‘Tech-or-Treat’ night on Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gateway Innovation and Discovery Center, located at 2614 University Blvd East.
Tech-or-Treat is a free community event where children go table to table collecting candy and prizes from City departments and community organizations. Each table will offer fun activities and tech-themed prizes to visitors in costumes. The prizes range from cell phone accessories to digital storage devices.
“We are very excited to host Tech-or-Treat again this year," Mayor Walt Maddox said. "We wanted to offer a fun, family-friendly event at the Tuscaloosa Gateway, to introduce science, technology, engineering and math opportunities to local children."
The event is free and open to all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
