City of Tuscaloosa Holds Springbrook Park Ribbon Cutting

The City of Tuscaloosa held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Springbrook Park on Tuesday, April 15 at 10 a.m.

Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox and Councilor Cassius Lanier spoke during the ceremony.

"This park is going to mean so much to people for decades to come," Mayor Walt Maddox said. "Projects like this are why we started Elevate in the first place."

The new Springbrook Park, an Elevate Tuscaloosa project, will include a variety of amenities and lighting and security features. Among these are a new walking track, two new playgrounds and new covered seating areas.

"The Springbrook community deserves the best and that's what we've set out to do by bringing a better quality of life and recreation to the families in this community," said Councilor Cassius Lanier. "This is just the beginning for what's in store for our district, here we grow again!"

The new park is located at 3101 Springbrook Circle in Tuscaloosa.

The project broke ground in September 2024. Learn more at elevatetuscaloosa.com.
