Public Hearings for CDBG Funds to be Aug. 19 and 22

PUBLIC HEARINGS TO ANNOUNCE AND ACCEPT PUBLIC COMMENTS ON PROJECT RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE CITY OF TUSCALOOSA’S 2013 CDBG PROGRAM FUNDING SPECIALLY DESIGNATED FOR DISASTER RECOVERY

     The City of Tuscaloosa will hold two public hearings to solicit comments from citizens, agencies and other interested parties for community development projects to be undertaken by the City with 2013 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds that are specially designated for Disaster Recovery. The public hearings will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 19, 2013 and at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 22, 2013 in the City Council Chamber in City Hall, located at 2201 University Boulevard.

     The City will be submitting to the U. S. Department of Housing & Urban Development an Action Plan for Program Year 2013, the fourth year of its Five-Year Consolidated Plan for the Community Planning and Development Programs for Program Years 2010-2014.

     Comments may also be mailed to the City's Office of Federal Programs at P. O. Box 2089, Tuscaloosa, AL 35403, or delivered to the office, located on the 2nd floor of City Hall Annex No. I at 2201 University Boulevard. The Department must receive all comments no later than 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. All comments will be forwarded to the Mayor and City Council for their consideration for 2013 CDBG funding specially designated for Disaster Recovery.
