The City of Tuscaloosa Water and Sewer Department will temporarily extend service hours to meet increased demand as area college students return for the fall semester.

Beginning Monday, July 27, customer service phone banks will extend hours to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and will continue through Monday, Aug. 17 or until the demand subsides. Saturday hours from 9 a.m. until noon will also be available Aug. 1.

Customers can open a new account, transfer existing service or cancel water service online at http://www.tuscaloosa.com/onlineservices.

Existing customers can pay bills and track account history online at http://www.tuscaloosa.com/onlinebills.

Students can access a student tab on the City’s homepage http://www.tuscaloosa.com/ for student-specific needs.
