Mayor Walt Maddox Appoints Chris Meggs Director of Environmental Services

Mayor Walt Maddox has appointed Chris Meggs Director of Environmental Services, effective June 3. Meggs has worked with the City of Tuscaloosa for over 15 years in roles including Maintenance Crew Supervisor, Water/Wastewater Systems Maintenance Manager and CDL Training Coordinator.
Most recently, Meggs served as Director of Facilities Maintenance for the City’s Construction, Facilities & Grounds department.
“Chris has been a hard-working, devoted team player at the City of Tuscaloosa for over 15 years,” Mayor Walt Maddox said. “He has excelled in each role he has held with progressive amounts of responsibility. I feel confident that our Environmental Services division will thrive under his leadership.”
A Tuscaloosa native, Meggs holds Driving Safety, Qualified Credentialed Inspector, and CDL Trainer certifications, and has completed the Dale Carnegie Leadership Course.
