Mayor Walt Maddox has named the City’s current City Clerk, Mark Fields, as chief human resources officer, effective Feb. 1, 2019.
Fields has been with the City for almost two years, serving as the City’s deputy chief human resources officer before being appointed to City Clerk last September.
"Whether serving our nation or serving our community, Mark has demonstrated servant leadership that is beyond impressive. Working directly with him for the past year, I have seen firsthand his commitment to our standard of excellence," Mayor Walt Maddox said. "I have complete confidence that Mark is going be an advocate for our amazing team members and that he will continue to make us an employer of choice."
Fields, who is a retired U.S. Navy commander, holds a bachelor’s from the University of Kansas. He has more than 25 years of experience in administrative and personnel management.
