City of Tuscaloosa Stormwater Management Program Receives National Recognition
November 3, 2015
The City of Tuscaloosa’s stormwater management program was awarded “Silver Level” in both program management and innovation by the Water Environment Federation.
The award recognizes innovative, cost-effective and environmentally friendly approaches to high-performance municipal separate storm sewer systems in small urbanized areas.
This success comes from the City’s plan to dedicate more resources and personnel to the management of stormwater.
The Water Environment Federation, which works in conjunction with the Environmental Protection Agency, granted the award to the City of Tuscaloosa at its conference in Chicago.
